Martha Stewart, 81, is the oldest model to appear on the Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover.

NEW YORK – Martha Stewart isn’t slowing down at age 81; in fact, some might say she’s getting hotter. Sports Illustrated revealed on Monday that Stewart will be one of the swimsuit cover models.
She surpasses Maye Musk, who posed for the special issue in 2022 at the age of 74, to become the oldest model to grace the cover of the annual swimsuit issue.
In an Instagram post on Monday, the media personality and businesswoman expressed her hope that the cover would encourage readers “to try new things, no matter what stage of life you’re in.” Additionally, she shared a video clip from an interview she conducted with SI Swimsuit editor-in-chief MJ Day for her podcast.
The video displayed a number of shots of Stewart from a photo shoot in the Dominican Republic, one of which featured her emerging from the water wearing sunglasses and a blue swimsuit.
Stewart stated during the podcast that “they were pouring water over my head.”
In the 1990s, Stewart founded Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, which later became a byword for cooking, entertaining, and domesticity. She also published magazines, towels, cookware, and other things. She has hosted many TV shows and recently collaborated on several projects with rapper Snoop Dogg. Stewart was found guilty in 2004 of misrepresenting a stock sale to the government. She spent five months behind bars.
Singer Kim Petras, actor Megan Fox, and model Brooks Nader were also selected as cover stars for the swimsuit issue of this year.
The Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue of 2023 will be honored on a red carpet on Thursday in New York. The magazine debuts on Friday.
